Grossing Technician is required to gross and dictate gastrointestinal biopsies, small biopsies (including cores), prostate cores, and any small tissue that does not require dissection. Grossing Technicians will interact with pathologists in same manner that physicians' assistants carry out their duties under the direction of physicians in surgical and medical practices. The Grossing Technicians serves as the eyes of the pathologist and is often the initial (and sometimes only) individual to look at the specimen when it arrives from the operating room, clinic and/or physician's office.…
