Exempt Position Summary: The Assistant Riley County Attorney is expected and required to represent the Riley County Attorney’s Office, who prosecutes on behalf of the State of Kansas the following: Adult and Juvenile felony and misdemeanor offenses, traffic offenses, (both minor and major), Child in Need of Care cases, Involuntary Commitment proceedings for persons suffering from a severe mental illness. The Assistant County Attorney in addition is expected to assist law enforcement, local, state and federal authorities. The judges, District and Magistrate within the 21st Judicial District.…
