Description Job purpose The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is responsible for the patient’s pre-anesthesia and medication, review of the patient’s treatment plan and preparing the patient for surgical procedures. The CRNA administers anesthesia and supporting drugs, monitors the patient’s reaction before and after surgery and ensures all documentation regarding anesthesia is accurate.
