POSITION SUMMARY: Per the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, new graduate nurses may only be employed as Nurse Technicians. He/she can perform all duties of a nursing assistant as well as other technical skills that have been learned in their nursing education programs, and for which competency has been previously demonstrated under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Nurse Technician must provide the list of competencies from their program. He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
